About Us

Megark Solutions Ltd is a Tanzanian-based agribusiness company committed to transforming rural livelihoods through certified seed innovation, modern irrigation, and mechanized agriculture. With headquarters in Dar es Salaam and active projects in 13 regions, we partner with public and private stakeholders to promote inclusive agricultural growth and sustainability.

We are a trusted partner of the Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA) and operate under contract to produce high-quality certified maize and sunflower seeds. Our work is guided by national agricultural priorities and the vision of making quality inputs and modern agribusiness accessible to all Tanzanians.

According to the 2025/2026 Budget Speech by the Minister for Agriculture, Tanzania’s annual certified seed demand exceeds 187,000 metric tons. Yet, the national seed supply falls significantly short, with studies showing that over 83% of farmers rely on traditional, recycled, or informal seed sources. These limitations are particularly severe in rural regions where seed delivery systems are weak or absent. Our mission is to close this gap by scaling up localized seed production on more than 2,000 acres of land and reaching 150,000+ smallholder farmers, most of them women, with affordable, certified, and climate-resilient seeds tailored to their agro-ecological needs.

Edson William Uhale

Managing Director

Edson holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering, both from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Megark Solutions Ltd, where he leads strategic growth, certified seed production, and public-private partnerships in agribusiness. With over 16 years of multidisciplinary experience in energy, agriculture, and infrastructure, Edson brings deep expertise in project management, rural development, and enterprise leadership. Under his direction, Megark continues to expand its footprint in Tanzania’s agricultural transformation through sustainable and innovative seed systems.

Rubeni Njile Nduti

Farm Manager

Rubeni serves as the Farm Manager at Megark Solutions Ltd, leading certified seed production operations at ASA’s Mwele Seed Farm in Tanga Region. He holds a Master’s degree in International Agricultural Economics and Policy from Kangwon National University, South Korea, and a BSc in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture. With over 10 years of experience in agricultural extension, seed systems, and farm management, Rubeni has held key roles including District Agricultural Officer and project focal person under USAID’s Africa RISING program. He brings deep expertise in agronomy, value chain development, and planning for inclusive and sustainable agriculture.

Prince Mark Mugisha

Business Development Director

Prince is the Business Development Director at Megark Solutions Ltd, bringing over 20 years of experience in renewable energy, investment facilitation, and strategic project management. He holds an MSc in Project Management from École Supérieure de Commerce in Lyon, France, and a Bachelor's degree in Project Planning and Management. At Megark, Prince leads growth strategy, investor engagement, and partnership development across agriculture and clean energy sectors. He has previously directed major energy and infrastructure projects across East and Central Africa, including biomass, biogas, and solar PV solutions. Multilingual and internationally connected, Prince is a seasoned liaison for cross-border collaborations and sustainable business growth.

Walter H. Moshi

Field Supervisor & Marketing Officer

Walter serves as the Field Supervisor at Megark Solutions Ltd’s Mwele Seed Farm, overseeing day-to-day field operations. He also supports marketing and sales activities, including customer service and inventory coordination. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration (Marketing) from St. John’s University of Tanzania and brings experience from Vodacom and Volt Africa Co. Ltd.

Martha Wilson Warioba

Office Manager

Martha serves as the Office Manager at Megark Solutions Ltd, overseeing administrative operations, internal communication, and office logistics. She holds a Degree in Business Administration from the College of Business Education (CBE) and brings over a decade of experience in office management, marketing coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Martha ensures smooth day-to-day operations, supports cross-functional teams, and maintains efficient document and communication systems. Her strong organizational and interpersonal skills contribute to a well-managed and responsive work environment.

Emmanuel Julius

Marketing and Sales Manager

Emmanuel Julius serves as Marketing and Sales Manager at Megark Solutions Ltd, where he leads sales execution, customer acquisition, market expansion, and brand promotion across the company’s agricultural products and services portfolio.
He brings cross-sector experience in agribusiness, banking, education, insurance, and retail, with strong expertise in market outreach, stakeholder engagement, customer relationship management, and business development. At Megark, he supports the growth and positioning of certified seeds, irrigation solutions, mechanization services, and other agribusiness offerings through strategic campaigns and field-driven commercial initiatives.
Emmanuel is a results-oriented professional known for his communication skills, team leadership, and practical understanding of frontline market development. He also has experience in digital promotion, proposal and report writing, training coordination, and institutional branding.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma in Human Resource Management from Mzumbe University and is fluent in Kiswahili with strong English proficiency.

Christine Huruma

Administration Support Officer

Christina Huruma Mkulungu is a customer service and administration professional with experience in front-office operations, customer relations, sales support, reservations management, cashiering, and operational coordination. She has worked in banking, hospitality, and guest service environments, where she developed strong communication, record management, problem-solving, and customer support skills.
At Megark Solutions Ltd, she serves as an Administration Support Officer, supporting daily office administration, customer and stakeholder communication, documentation management, scheduling and coordination, data entry and record keeping, and general operational support. Her background in handling customer inquiries, maintaining records, managing reservations, processing transactions, and supporting operational efficiency positions her well to contribute to Megark’s growing agribusiness and project operations.

Digital Platform

MSARP Digital System

A Digital Seed-to-Market Recovery Platform for Smallholder Farmers

The MSARP Digital System is Megark Solutions Limited’s digital seed-to-market recovery platform designed to transform the Megark Seed Access and Recovery Programme from manual paper-based farmer registration into a real-time digital system for farmer profiling, certified seed planning, seed credit tracking, protected seed savings, harvest aggregation, standardized weighing, seed-cost recovery, and market transparency. The system will include a Farmer Registration & Profile App, a Real-Time MSARP/Mbegu Chap² Dashboard, and a Digital Seed Wallet, Acreage Calculator & Harvest Recovery Tracker. It will help Megark register farmers faster, forecast seed demand by location and crop, monitor seed distribution, track signed contracts and CRDB/M-Pesa account activation, estimate expected harvest, record harvest purchases, reduce side-selling risks, improve Lumbesa/standardized weighing compliance, log complaints, and generate reliable data for partners, funders, banks, telecom operators, seed institutions, and local government stakeholders. Seed Access

Megark Seed Access and Recovery Programme (MSARP)

MSARP is Megark Solutions Limited’s farmer-support and contract-growing programme designed to help smallholder farmers access certified seed on credit, plant on time, and sell their harvest through an organized and transparent market channel. Under MSARP, farmers are registered, assessed based on acreage, issued certified seed such as Record ASA sunflower seed, and supported through a recovery model where Megark purchases the harvest after production, deducts the seed cost, and pays the farmer’s balance through formal payment channels. The programme reduces the upfront cash burden on farmers, improves access to quality seed, strengthens farmer records, supports harvest aggregation, and creates a pathway for future bank and mobile-based agricultural finance.

A recent MSARP example was implemented in Morogoro District Council, where Megark distributed tons of certified Record ASA sunflower seeds, reaching 1,500+ farmers across 4 wards and 18 villages, including Mvuha, Bwakila Chini, Mgazi, and Kisaki. At an estimated seed rate of 2 kg per acre, this distribution can support approximately 5,000 acres of sunflower production. The project demonstrated strong farmer demand, practical field implementation capacity, and the importance of improving logistics, farmer registration, harvest readiness, standardized weighing, and market recovery.

Seed Savings

Mbegu Chap² (Mbegu Chap Chap)

Mbegu Chap² is Megark Solutions Limited’s digital seed-savings and certified seed access initiative designed to help farmers prepare for the next planting season early, safely, and affordably. The programme helps farmers convert harvest-time income into protected seasonal seed savings, ensuring that money intended for certified seed is not lost to daily household spending before planting begins.

Through Mbegu Chap², farmers are registered and profiled based on their crop, acreage, location, and planting plans. The system calculates the seed requirement and value needed for each farmer using a simple acre-based formula: farmer acreage × crop-specific seed requirement × approved seed price = seed target. Farmers can then save gradually or in lump sum toward this target through approved financial or mobile channels.

The model is designed to connect farmer registration, protected seed savings, certified seed redemption, and planting readiness into one disciplined pathway. When the planting season opens, saved funds are unlocked only for approved certified seed purchase, helping farmers plant on time with the right seed quantity and quality.

Mbegu Chap² supports farmers by reducing late seed purchase, improving planting discipline, strengthening access to certified climate-resilient seed, and creating a digital record that can support future banking, insurance, and agricultural finance products. For partners such as banks, telecom operators, seed institutions, agro-dealers, and local authorities, the platform creates a scalable farmer acquisition, data, and service-delivery channel.

ASA Certified Seed Production

Through a strategic partnership with the Agricultural Seed Agency (ASA), Megark Solutions Ltd is producing certified seeds on over 2,000 acres across Government-owned Research and Seed Multiplication Farms, including Mwele in Mkinga District, Ngongwa Farm in Dabaga-Kilolo District, Mbozi in Songwe Region, and various sites in Ruvuma Region. This project covers the multiplication of Sunflower, Maize, Beans, Sorghum, and other agreed varieties, contributing significantly to Tanzania's certified seed supply and food security goals.
